Jake: We were given an audience with The Rock's captain... sort of. Like many of the crew, he was under quarantine. We relayed the events of what was, for us, the last few days. It was hard to get a read on his reaction to the mour outlandish aspects of our story. That may be in part because bulldogs' faces kind of have a permanent scowl to them.

Narrator: Captain Sebastian Lockjaw; ship master and commander; age 56 - Canis Lupus F. (English bulldog)

Lockjaw: So, the Drogahri Cruiser appeared in a sector that had already been surveyed by the sentinels?

Jake: Yes sir.

Grayson: They've been ambushing our fleets and disappearing as quickly as they arrived. We still don't know how they're coordinating their jumps with that much precision.

Jake: I don't think they were dropping out of FTL on us. I've seen space folding a hundred times, but this was something else. I know this sounds nuts, but I think they had some kind of cloaking device, I hate to say it, but their tech is getting ahead of ours, and fast.

Lockjaw: Some of our scientists have suggested that theory, too. Your account of the black hole is of particular interest to me. Unfortunately, your ships have not been very forthcoming with the evidence of it. I hope you realize the difficult position this puts me in. If there's poor trust between a ship's crew and officers, things can get dangerous. And the question of what's become of commander Garret needs answering.

Mattrick: With all due respect captain, you're talking about the Rolf Garret, and Jake over here was his squire. Rolf was like a father to him. I don't know what your crew's been saying, but if they think Garret would raise a boy without loyalty, it's a load of hogwash.
