Narrator: Later, in the ready room...

Grayson: The star Y21 is our best hope of leaving Drogahri occupied space. We'll be far from House Fenris, but these backwater systems are less closely guarded by the enemy. A fact that we're going to take advantage of. The scalies call this a Sand Dragon, named for an indigenous insect. It's a class 2 interdiction ship, capable of pulling our ship out of FTL. Our mission is to disable it, and clear a path for The Rock to jump through the system.

Jake: What kind of resistance should we expect? The Drogahri wouldn't leave a ship like that without an escort, even if we know we can't use our lances.

Lockjaw: I won't beat around it-- in a straight fight we'd be hopelessly outgunned. Our intelligence suggests multiple short-range corvettes within the system, which all have their own detachment of snub fighters and drones, along with some non-combat support ships. Fortunately, we're approaching from behind the sun, and the enemy's fleet will be prepared for a frontal assault. This is a hit and run operation. Hopefully we'll all be out before the corvettes can reach The Rock. There's also a cosmic storm surrounding Y21. It may give us some cover for the mission, but it's also going to mean reduced visual awareness. You'll have to rely on your instrumentation more than some of you may be used to.
